About Me
Welcome to my Diabetes blog for both Type 1 & 2 Diabetes. My families life was changed forever by the diagnosis of our teenage son’s Type 1 diabetes. Unfortunately, we had missed the warning signs which had started to appear 2 weeks prior and our son ended up seriously ill in Intensive Care for 2 days.
I do not want to focus on the downsides of life with Diabetes, as I am sure you are all aware of them. Instead I want to show that life can be “normal” and everything that was enjoyed before can still be now.

Hello, I am an outreach coordinator for the healthcare website icyou . Tomorrow is American Diabetes Alert Day and my team at icyou is working to help raise awareness and inform the public about the seriousness of diabetes. I am contacting you because we would like to invite you to join our community and watch some of our diabetes videos. You can view them by clicking on the link . All of the videos on icyou are free, and we’d love for you to embed them and feature any of these videos on your site - our goal is to simply spread the information as far and wide as we can.
icyou is a health-oriented, user-generated video aggregator and content producer covering a wide variety of health topics; everything from video definitions of common diseases and conditions to stories about cancer patients to coverage of health policy and politics.
Also, while we have your attention, we want to let you know that icyou makes it easy for anyone to post their own health-oriented video. We’d love for you and your readers to sign up and join our healthcare video community. It’s free to join and upload as many videos as you want, and the more voices, the more healthcare information is available and the stronger the community becomes.
If you have any questions or comments about these videos or icyou in general, don’t hesitate to contact me. Thanks very much for your time.
Regards,
Manon Husman
